Who is Pophie designed for?

Is Pophie safe to use around kids and families?
Safety is a core part of Pophie’s design. She is built with layered safety guardrails to support positive, age-appropriate, and healthy interactions. Since no AI system is perfect, feedback channels are also available so the experience can continue improving over time.
Does Pophie need Wi-Fi?
Pophie needs Wi-Fi for full conversation, deeper understanding, and access to her Cloud Brain. Without Wi-Fi, she can still support basic on-device interactions such as presence, gaze, touch reactions, and motion, but advanced dialogue will be limited.
How does Pophie protect my privacy?
Privacy is designed into multiple layers of the experience:
- On-device first: Basic awareness, gestures, and presence are handled locally whenever possible.
- Cloud processed, then discarded: For advanced understanding, media may be processed in the cloud, but raw audio and video are not kept as permanent media records.
- Minimal recognition data: Recognition data is used only to help Pophie identify familiar people, voices, and introduced objects.
- Visible privacy state: When Pophie’s eyes are closed, you can clearly see that her camera is off.
- Your control: You can manage saved content through the app.
What languages does Pophie support?
At launch, Pophie is planned to support English, Chinese Mandarin, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, and Arabic. More languages may be added through future software updates based on user demand.
When will Pophie be available?
Pophie is targeting a crowdfunding launch around May 2026 while reliability and safety testing continues. Shipping is planned to begin in July 2026, with VIP members receiving priority based on their reservation order.
